Job Description Lactalis South Africa is part of the French international dairy company Lactalis and is one of the major players in the Southern African dairy industry. The purpose of this job is to ensure the most accurate forecast to support the business targets.
Required Skills The following critical requirements are key selection criteria: • Mechanical/electrical or industrial Engineering degree or N6/T4 • Government ticket of competency for factories • At least 5 years post graduate or post qualification job experience in a maintenance environment • At least 5 year’s experiences in a maintenance management environment • At least 3 year’s experiences in a FMCG environment • Experience in PLC & SCADA will be advantageous • Experience in NH3 refrigeration and John Thompson Boilers will help you in your day to • day responsibilities • Good planning and organizing skills is essential • Good communication skills • Willing to work long hours, weekends and public holidays • Valid code EB driver’s license • Must have at least 3 year’s experiences in Pragma • Must have at least 3 year’s experiences in Budget Control • Computer literate with sound knowledge of MS Office and Control Instruments • Sound knowledge of boilers, compressors, refrigeration, dairy processing and filling & packaging machinery • Experience on Tetra and/or Combi UHT equipment will be advantageous
Duties & Responsibilities Specific key performance areas include the following: • Lead plant machine efficiency improvement drive. • Help build strong sustainable, preventative and breakdown maintenance competence. • Lead, manage and control technical department budget and spend. • Support and actively drive overall cost of manufacturing reduction. • Drive a focused agenda of strong financial governance in department. • Manage the development of high performance teams in utilities, processing and packaging areas. • Integrate various existing CMMS systems. • Actively lead plant five year capex plan. • Support plant SHER drive.
